Q: How much notice do I need to give for a car booking?
A: 24 hours is preferable, however we will always endeavour to comply with shorter notice requests.
Q: How much notice do I have to give for a cancellation?
A: A notice of 2 hours is required for all cancellations, at which point a valid cancellation number will be provided.
Q: Will my booking have a reference number?
A: Yes - every booking you make with ACS will have a unique reference.
Q: If I cancel a car do I need a reference number?
A: Yes - a cancellation code is issued with every cancelled booking.
What information do I need when making a car booking?
A: You will be asked to supply the following:
- Name
- Date and Time of pick-up (using 24 hour clock)
- Pick-up address, including postcode
- Destination, including postcode
- Flight number, if applicable
- Contact telephone number(s)
- Any special requirements
- Payment method
Q: Will I get a confirmation of my booking?
A: Yes, ACS will automatically email you confirmation of your booking for your records. Any alterations may be emailed or made over the phone. Please contact ACS if you do not receive your confirmation email within 30 minutes of making your booking.
Q: Will I have to repeat my details each time I call?
A: The first time you make a booking with ACS, the following information will also be required:
- Full name
- Credit card number
- Expiry Date
- Email address
- Postal address
This 'profile' information will then be securely stored on our system for use with any subsequent bookings.
Q: Do I have to phone a call centre and press lots of buttons before I get through to an operator?
A: No - in our experience customers prefer to talk to real people straight away and at ACS we aim to answer all calls within five rings.
Q: How much notice should I give for an email booking?
A: It is preferable to give at least 24 hours notice, however during office hours an attempt is made to reply within 2 hours. Passengers in doubt as to whether their e-mail has been received and acted upon should call the office to check that the booking is in place.
Q: How do I identify my driver at the airport?
ACS chauffeurs use very distinctive and clearly visible green perspex boards on which to write passenger names. ACS Chauffeurs can be identified by their dark suits, Green ASC tie and ACS Lapel Badge.
Q: What do I do if I cannot find my driver?
Always carry a note of our number (0845 3701 247) and call immediately, at the collection time and place, if the chauffeur cannot be seen. Each airport and terminal with will have its own most appropriate meeting point, of which will be described to you at the time of booking.
